Hurom Slow Juicer
Happy Monday everyone!
We hope you all had an excellent weekend! Did any of you try the Zucchini pancakes recipe from Friday? If so, we’d love to hear your feedback, so drop us a line or two below! :) Today we are sharing a product that I really love and use in my own home!
The Hurom Slow Juicer!
This juicer was named the “Best New Kitchen Appliance” by Bon Appetit magazine and was also featured on Martha Stewart…and you know if Martha likes it, it’s good! ;)
What is a Hurom Slow Juicer?
Hurom Slow Juicer is a brand of juicer that uses a masticating process to turn your fruits and veggies into juice! Some would say that “slow juicing” is a different process from masticating but I think they tend to fall under the same category. Slow juicers are also said to extract even more juice than masticating juicers.
The masticating process is popular within the health food world and most people would recommend this process over a centrifugal juicer. This process is also known as “cold press.” Basically, the juicer grinds or kneads out the juice from the fruits and vegetables at a slow speed squeezed by the auger. Another great thing about this process is your juice will have a much longer shelf life than with a centrifugal juicer.
You lost me again...What's a Centrifugal Juicer?
These juicers shred up fruits and veggies at much higher speeds usually using an internal blade. The produce is grinded up and the juice is forced away from the pulp. Centrifugal juicers tend to be very noisy. The most common issue people generally have with these types of juicers, is that the heat used during this process ends up killing or damaging the enzymes of the juice. You also need to drink your juice right away after using this type of juicer.
Why should I invest in a Hurom Slow Juicer?
You will use less produce (so you’ll save on groceries!), yield more juice and have less foam! These types of juicers also tend to be easier to clean, less messy and very quiet! They operate on lower RPMs, which preserve the enzymes and nutrients; keeping the juice close to it’s most natural form. You get drier pulp and richer color juices that are packed with more vitamins and minerals! The Hurmon Slow Juicer also can juice wheat grass! For a lot of people this is a huge plus because most juicers cannot do this, so you have to buy a whole other machine in order to do that. Besides being able to juice wheatgrass you can also make your own ice cream, baby food and nut milks! This machine is very easy to use and kid friendly!
I want a Hurom! Where can I buy one?
