Veggie House recently underwent new ownership (formerly known as Vegan Express) and also got a major renovation. It's very cute and homey, with intimate dining atmosphere both inside and out back on the little rear patio. Also, it smells good when you walk in, from all the tasty things brewing.
Super tasty!! Kristen and I both ordered the Tom Kha soup which was delicious. Even as side dish the serving is quite filling. I ordered the Veggie Tofu Fried Rice, which I really enjoyed :) Kristen ordered Stir Fry Garlic with a side of brown rice, which she really loved as well. Both portions were very large, offering plenty to share off one plate if you want to split an entree.
Considering this restaurant is practically situated on the 101 on ramp, they've done a successful job of creating a quiet and cozy atmosphere. They remodeled the kitchen recently with subway tiles and modern decor. The tables and chairs are wooden cafe style - perfect for large or small parties.
Super affordable! Everything is $8 or less. Who doesn't love that?
The wait staff and cooks greet you joyfully upon entering and immediately offer you a seat. They were very attentive and made sure we loved our food.
Cozy! This is a casual restaurant, that offers maybe about 400 square feet in total dining space... that said it's a great space for casual meals. There isn't much privacy from the people sitting next to you, but they do have a great patio perched up in the rear of the restaurant.
We both really enjoyed our lunch and love what Veggie House has to offer : )
